Does the iphone 5 need a scratch guard?

Q. due to its gorilla glass display i hav seen in many youtube videos that the iphone 5 display remains uneffective to scratches. Is it true? will it need any scratch guard or screen protector?

Answer
If you take good care of your iPhone, it shoudn't need a screen protector. If you toss it in the same pocket with the keys, though, it'll get scratched. Also gorilla glass can be scratched by sand, so be careful at the beach.

I like to keep my gadgets protected with a wallet case, that way the screen is always cushioned, but no nasty screen guards need be applied.

There's a decent selection of cases like that online:

what is the differences between the stormbreaker movie vs stormbreaker (the book)?

Justin

Answer
Sabina is in the film, not the book. In the book series she is introduced in the third book Skeleton Key. Sabina also doesn't go to school with Alex.

The character Mr. Crawley had to have a name change to Mr. Crawford, after the real MI6 didn't want the name used. Additionally, Herod Sayle's name is changed to Darrius, and his nationality changed from Lebanese to American. And Alex's fake name is changed from Felix Lester to Kevin Blake.

In the scene that takes place at the garbage dump (in the movie, at the beginning), Alex takes out multiple guards with a rope. In the book there is only one guard and Alex kicks him, knocking him out, then leaves. Also, in the movie, Alex escapes the car by ejecting the seat, whereas in the book he escapes through the smashed rear windscreen.

The scene when Jack gets attacked by Nadia Vole isn't in the book

In the film, Alex has a Nintendo DS as a handheld gadget, but in the book, it is a Game Boy Color

In the book, Alex uses the smoke bomb in the Nintendo DS to escape the plane controlled by Mr.Grin down to the science museum. In the movie, he uses it to escape the Dozmary Mine.

Gadgets including the mind control pen and the parachute backpack were not mentioned in the book

In the book, Mr Grin dies because the plane he was controlling crashed into a building site. In the movie, he doesn't die at all, however, rumors say that he was either arrested or killed by Yassen G. offscreen.

In the book, Sayle doesn't find out that Kevin Blake (or in the book, Felix Lester) was really Alex Rider until Alex is captured. In the movie, Nadia tells Sayle that Kevin is a spy, whose instructions to Nadia was to kill Alex in his room, which caused Alex to head to the Dozmary Mine.

In the book when Alex parachutes through the Glass Roof of the StormBreaker Launch, he already has a weapon, which he uses to shoot the Prime Minister in the Hand. In the film, he is handed it by the Soldiers he trained with Earlier to shoot the Button apart.

In the book Alex earns respect from Wolf by pushing him off the plane, but in the film he earns it by freeing them from a guarded locked house

An early sign of OCD?

Loch

Hello. I am a 24 year old female. In 2008, we lost our four beloved pets and everything we own in a house fire.
Since then, I haven't been able to leave the house for more than a few hours. If we do have to leave the city, I have to bring all of our pets with us. It's only gotten worse and worse over the last two years.
I am starting to worry about home security and break-in's. I have two electronic alarm systems from two different companies in case one does not work. I have three deadbolts, two bar locks, two chain locks and the doorknob lock on the door. I have installed break-proof window glass on all the windows and I have put locks on them.
Now all I want to do is get a gun and learn how to use it. I am so afraid that someone is going to break in.
Has anyone else experienced something and found themselves changing their lives because of it.
I don't want to worry like this.
Also, every night before bed I have to triple check the locks on the door and every window. I have to check the stove. I have turned off my hot water and heat because i am afraid that the pilot light will blow my house up or set one of my animals on fire.
I just wated a show about OCD and I want to know if anyone out there who has OCD or has known someone with it thinks I may be experiencing some kind of it.
The cause of the fire was unknown. It could have been electrical, it may have been the open bag of peat moss roasting in the sun, it may have been the bbq, or something else.

Answer
I can say without reservation you are overdoing the things necessary for home safety. I cannot give you a diagnosis nor am I qualified to do so. I think you have some type of problem but not one you cannot get out of with some reasoning. The water heater and furnace pilot lights are usually guarded to prevent any animals or stray materials from getting near them. Animals can sense heat as well as humans can and will not go near an open flame.
You had a fire and not a break in so the measures you are taking are far beyond what is prudent. You have made your home a trap you may not be able to get out of quickly in a panic situation. Too many dead bolts and too much break proof glass. I think you have developed a lot of anxiety of what happened and have just gone overboard. With all the gadgets to lock and the alarms to set it is a wonder you get to bed at all. I am not sure it is OCD but you are busy going through a big ritual to shut things down at night.
Getting a gun for protection entails a lot of responsibility and if you are in a state of mind where you believe someone will break in, you may just shoot a family member. I would suggest a can of pepper spray which is very effective and will not kill anyone.
Perhaps you can remove the double locks and other nonsense realizing it would interfere with you rounding up your animals and leaving the house quickly. I don't think it is too late for you to overcome this fear and start living life instead of worrying about possible events that are unlikely to happen again. You lost four pets in the past but losing your mind would be a greater loss. Try to make some changes otherwise see a therapist and get a professional opinion. Good Luck!

Q. It was a huge risk. The several hundred, if not thousand, people buzzing around her only instigated the furious debate raging in her brilliant mind. Her pale hand took the red passport from her pants pocket and she glared at the name imprinted inside the little booklet: Lilly. Hazel eyes scanned the faces within close proximity questioning who was to die. Callous and cold the attitude may be, this mysterious girl in no way indicated nerves or fear; the feeling she couldnât control was guilt. Guaranteeing the plane would crash was questionable yet Lilly could not help but wonder whose deaths she would be responsible for.
A sudden knock caused the young woman to regain her focus as a camera wielding, tubby man barged past her muttering something to the device in his hand. The check in process was boring and mundane as Lilly explained she did not care where she was seated on the plane and faced questioning for her small amount of luggage.

Towering escalators, oddly positioned water fountains, an array of gadget shops and overpriced clothing stores... this London airport bared little difference to any other. The diversity of the manic and frenzied travelers had always fascinated Lilly and she witnessed several arguments, frantic sprinting and hurried shopping on her way to gate seventeen. Once in the penned area, the young woman looked at her passport once again sighing at the new name and date of birth. Too many conflicting thoughts raged in her head as she realized there was no guarantee the plane would even crash and after all, she had completed journeys safely before, why should this time be any different?

With a shudder, the huge âBluSkyâ aircraft roared to life and crept down the gigantic runway. This is it, thought Lily. The day I make them proud.
A makeup clad woman in impractical heels fiddled with the lifejacket over her head as she demonstrated the emergency procedure whilst the pilot informed his passengers of the current schedule. Lillyâs eyes scrutinized every person upon the plane, a few felt unnerved by her constant staring, and there was no denying her heart beat had quickened slightly as the jet rumbled before leaving the tarmac below. Her golden unkempt hair stuck to the glass as she watched the houses disappear from the cold window and began to consider when exactly the crash would occur. Not once could you see apprehension, or any emotion for that matter, within Lillyâs eyes and she always appeared calm yet unapproachable.

A wobbly drinks trolley rolled past several times within the ten hours the plane had been airborne and the revolting smell of airplane food swept through the compartments as the neatly packed meals were unleashed. Ten long hours had passed. Two hundred and fifty passengers squirmed restlessly in their seats as a sudden bang dominated the cabin â it was beginning.
--------------------------------------------------
âIt was reported late this night that a 747 flying from Heathrow in London over to New York City has crashed landed in the middle of the Atlantic sea. Both American Coast Guards and British Rescue workers are currently prodding the water for any signs of survivorsâbut as for now, all are missing. Stay with us for more details on this disasterâ¦.â
The sounds of a television awoke Kelsie, who shook her head groggily, looking over to the other bed across the cabin. It was empty, and as she sat up, she decided to see what was happening. Opening the door and slipping out, she limberly crossed the hall into the bridge. Wrapped up in their robes, Mr. Wolff, Ms. Hallman, Seth, Annalise, and Roger were crowded around a television, watching the evening news.
âWhatâs happened?â she asked.
Mr. Wolff turned his head. âThe Darks, thatâs whatâs happened.â
âWhat did they do this time?â She came to stand beside Roger.
Mr. Wolffâs eyes never left the screen. âTheyâve just got a new member, it seems.â
âA new member? Why would they get a new member?â asked Roger, looking over at Mr. Wolff.
There was an uncertain silence. âIâm afraidâ¦I donât know.â
No....If I wrote it, how would I steal it?

Answer
You obviously have talent at spinning a tale, but the writing is a bit cumbersome and some words are used oddly. For professional-grade writing, you have way too many modifiers (adjectives mainly). You should not describe every single thing with multiple adjectives. It makes the prose feel heavy and slow, and this is a scene that should be emotional.

Example: A sudden knock caused the young woman to regain her focus as a camera wielding, tubby man barged past her muttering something to the device in his hand.

First of all, I would wonder if the man was important in some way, since you gave him so much 'air time.' Being bumped into is a quick thing. It's over in an instant, but you make the reader notice 4 things about him. Do they matter to the story? I also find it odd that some guy rushing for the train is holding a phone and a camera at the same time. Also, the sentence is in passive voice. The subject of the sentence (the young woman) should be acting, not being acted upon.

Perhaps: She regained her focus when a tubby man muttering into his cellphone bumped her shoulder.

And about that emotion... The girl's about to blow up a plane! You told us she felt guilt, but didn't show it. Engage the reader by showing the manifestations of her emotions. Are her palms clammy? Do her eyes dart around or does she just merely 'look' at the people she's about to kill. Use specific verbs to create more reaction in the reader.

Finally, some odd word choices.

"people buzzing around her only instigated the furious debate raging in her brilliant mind." -- instigated means to start something, not to make it greater

"Rescue workers are currently prodding the water for any signs of survivors" -- prodding means to poke or push. I see a mental image of rescuers thrusting fingers into the ocean, or thrusting poles into it. Perhaps combing the water, or just searching.

Best of luck!

Best of luck!

is this a good yugioh collection?

Does the iphone 5 need a scratch guard?

good gadget glass guard on Amazon.com: Good Gadget Clear Glass Guard Screen Protector for iPhone ...
good gadget glass guard image
Q. due to its gorilla glass display i hav seen in many youtube videos that the iphone 5 display remains uneffective to scratches. Is it true? will it need any scratch guard or screen protector?

There's a decent selection of cases like that online:
http://www.squidoo.com/leather-cases-for-iphone-5

what is the differences between the stormbreaker movie vs stormbreaker (the book)?

Justin

Good Luck!

What should I dress up as for this theme?

good gadget glass guard on glass features height 15mm 15mm adjustable 6mm toughened safety glass ...
good gadget glass guard image
Q. For a pep rally Friday, myself and the band I'm in are going for the theme, "Eye Spy The Spartans."
They say you could dress up as anything, but I'd like to go along with something more relative to the theme.

ny ideas?
Would be appriciated.
Thx.

Answer
Well, if "Spartan" is part of the theme, go as Greek gods and goddesses.

But if you're schools mascot is the Spartan, and "Eye Spy" is the theme, (which seems more likely), you should go dressed up as items in a crime scene.

Giant magnifying glass: You wear black, and your body is the handle. Make the lens out of hula hoops and use saran wrap for the glass. Leave a hole in the saran wrap to fit tightly around your head, under your chin and around the top of your head so the lens stands up in the air

Soiled carpet: Take a plain white shirt and white pants and squirt red paint all over them. After the red paint dries, step in a little bit of black paint and leave foot prints across the shirt.

Corpse: Put make up on to look pale and kind of gray. You want to look freshly dead, not like a zombie. Maybe put a bunch of "blood" stains all over a shirt to look like stab wounds, and a red line across the front of the neck with some dripping to look like a slit throat. A lipstick kiss print on the collar would be cool, like an angry lover is the murderer.

The murder weapon: This will take a tiny bit of artistry. Paint the blade of a knife on the front and back of a white shirt, tuck it into black pants for the handle. Add whatever detail you want for a fancy knife, maybe a gold belt for the guard between the handle and the blade

Detective: There has to be someone to do all the "Eye Spy-ing" of course. Go all Sherlock Holmes. Maybe try some inspiration from Inspector Gadget with a tan trench coat. Or a black trench coat and a fedora hat with a suit!

Does the iphone 5 need a scratch guard?

Mrunal The

due to its gorilla glass display i hav seen in many youtube videos that the iphone 5 display remains uneffective to scratches. Is it true? will it need any scratch guard or screen protector?

What can I use to inhibit my two year old from pressing the water and ice controls on the door of the fridge?

kiaw_02

My littler girl will be two next month and she is in the 96th percentile for height. While she has the height of a kid going on 3 she is a not yet 2. She wants to do big girl things but can't get it exactly right yet. She is tall enough to reach the water and ice levers on the outside of the refrigerator. This is a new pheromone. But yesterday she had to be changed 2X because she pressed it and without a cup it just shot down on her. She did actually try and get a cup the second time. We explained that she can just tell us she wants some water but of course it is really about wanting to do it herself. Our kitchen isn't set up where you can use gates to close the whole thing off. I picture a gadget that would shield, guard, or block little hands from pressing but I can't find such a thing. Has anyone seen anything like that or do you have other ideas? For now we just cut the water supply to the lin
