My husband has a Severe Macaw that is a screamer. We live in a 2 family aparrtment and her screaming starts early in the mornings. Unfortunately the bird knows if she screams loud enough she will get the attention she is screaming for. She is out of her cage many hours and played with constantly. She is my husband's side kick. The noise is deafening and very upsettting. My husband caterers to her screaming.

Had the same problem with a cockateel. Was my sidekick, and was quiet at first. Then the screeching began, and I was stuck.
Do I cater to its demands? Or will ignoring it make the screeching stop?
Tried both ways, and it didn't matter. The problem was not enough toys, Entertainment for the bird is necessary. Boredom, not only lack of attention, causes screeching.
Problem now is finding the gadgets needed to keep the bird occupied. And a constant variety, for they get tired of the same old toys.

Well I'll put it this way. XBOX 360 is a gaming system that is marketed mainly to "hard core" gamers (people who play lots of games) but it will soon be launching its KINECT attachment which will allow for more family oriented games to be played. Essentially its a gadget that allows the system to be controlled without actually having a controller (just you!).
XBOX also has XBOX live service for an additional 50 bucks a year. This allows u to play games online essentially making games more fun even after you finish the main story mode.
PS3 is marketed mainly to I guess also hardcore gamers and people who like watching movies. It comes with a Blueray player included and also has online service (which is free though not as good as XBOX live). It will also be launching (what i call BOOTLEG WII STICKS) a device similar to the WI MOTE which allows the player to play games by swinging the remote around.
Then there's the WII given its low cost and variety of games for peple of all ages. It is a system that everyone can use (even my grandma). It is fairly popular with adults as it also carries many excersise games. The WII's main feature is the ability to control the game using by swinging the remotes around.
I own all 3. The Wii's novelty stick gets old after playing a couple of games. Most of the popular games prob won't be on the wii or won't function in the same way as the PS3/XBOX 360 counter parts.
In my own personal opinion I got more bang for my buck from the XBOX 360. I can buy one game and play it for hours on end on LIVE with my friends and if the game is good it never gets old. I also think the KINECT feature is going to be pretty cool.
Some may say PS3 is more "powerful" and while this is partly true. There is essentially no difference between the quality of XBOX 360 games and PS3 games infact most games you can get for either. I say get him the XBOX 360 (with a 250 gb as he will need that) and the KINECT attachment trust me he will be the envy of all his friends. :) hope this helps.
