Lol, unless your locals is not competitive at all I can't see how this won, I mean Dust Tornao ovver MST makes no sense, Shrink is only at all handy in Glad Beast decks, Card Guard is pointless, as is Trap Hole unless you were expecting Inzektors, and there still is the priority ruling. It didn't go at the same time as it did in the OCG so it seems unlikely they'll change it now 2 years later. Even if it had gone then Bottomless would still be the better choice as it can hit multiple monsters at once. I would say more but, well I'm not going to get best answer seeming as I just told you how terrible the deck is.

Answer
Read this article and you'll learn why Solidarity and Cyber Valley is a mediocre choice for the deck.
http://yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=2443

Other than that, I have to say that you are having problem deducing a card power level. For example, there is absolutely no reason to use a Dust Tornado over 3rd copy of Mystical Space. Here are few other case:

1) You probably have never heard of Dimensional Prison lol
2) Distinct lack of staple cards - Torrential , Mirror Force etc.
3) Using Heavy Mech over theme support card with higher utility: Machina Peacekeeper. Even then both are not even recommended.

yugioh meta decks 2011?

John

i just returened to yugioh and was wondering what the best decks out are now i used to run cyber dragons and played a liitle lightsworns but didnt have jd so what are the top decks now and i just heard abou xyz monsters and was wondering if they were any good

Answer
Currently, I would say the undisputed deck of the format is Tengu Synchro, utilizing the ability of Reborn Tengu to Special Summon a copy of itself from the deck and the power of the Plant Synchro Engine (Lonefire Blossom, Dandylion, Debris Dragon) or Frog Engine (Treeborn Frog, Fishborg Blaster) to pull of ridiculous combos, usually generating several big Synchro monsters (most notably T.G. Hyper Librarian combined with Formula Synchron). However, many people believe that several engines in this deck will be hit by the September 2011 Banlist.
Another powerful deck in the meta right now is Six Samurai: with the newly released Legendary Six Samurai (including a Six Samurai Synchro monster), they can swarm the field like no other deck in today. Their biggest plays come off of cards like Legenday Six Samurai - Kageki, Kagamusha of the Six Samurai, Gateway of the Six, Six Samurai United, Shien's Smoke Signal, and Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En.
Other notable decks in the meta are X-Sabers, Gravekeepers, Fairies, Gladiator Beasts, Frog Monarchs, Chaos Synchro, and Machina Gadgets.
As far as Xyz monsters go, I can see them become a massive hit, mainly because you can splash them in practically any deck. Before Xyz Summoning was released, decks such as Gladiator Beast and Machina Gadgets would be far less powerful because there aren't usually any Tuners in either of those decks (besides the occasional Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwing or Effect Veiler). Now, these decks can produce Rank 4 Xyz easily: just combine 2 Gadgets!
As the format is coming to an end, several of these decks are bound to be hit. Cards that I can see getting hit include T.G. Hyper Librarian, Formula Synchron, Gateway of the Six, Giant Trunade, Pot of Avarice, Lonefire Blossom, Dandylion, Royal Tribute, Treeborn Frog, Master Hyperion, and perhaps Reborn Tengu. The Reason that I am if-y on Reborn Tengu being hit is that currently it is a TCG-exclusive, and one one time in history has a TCG exclusive been hit (Allure of Darkness). It will most likely get hit after it is released in the OCG in 2012.

Answer
I would take out Soul Release, because it's kind of slow. I would put in a Machina Force because it's searchable by Gearframe and is a free Fortress summon. Maybe put in an Ultimate Offering or 2. It's a great way to spam gadgets and XYZ summon a lot. and if you want you could put in a Double Cyclone so you can destroy your geartown AND your opponents spell/trap card too.

Thanks for your suggestions, Machina force was for discarding to summon Machina fortress, same with the gadgets. I was going to add Gorz but since i have solidarity that would sorta mess it up. Solidarity also boosts ups the Gadgets but yeah i need a lot of improving. Thanks

Answer
Machina is one of my favorite archetypes, in a few months a new machine archetype called Geargia is going to be release. it has a lot more synergy with Machina than geartown gadgets. But until then try this:

3 Machina Gearframe
3 Machina Fortress
2 Machina Cannon
2 Red Gadget
2 Green Gadget
2 Yellow Gadget
1 Grand Mole
1 Armored Bee
1 Gorz
2 Effect Veiler

1 Book of moon
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Heavy Storm
3 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Smashing Ground
2 Creature Swap

2 Bottomless trap Hole
2 Solemn Warning
1 Solemn Judgement
2 dimensional Prison
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Compulsory Evacuation Device

This is the build I've been playing with at locals.

Yu-Gi-Oh Competitive Budget decks? (September 2012 Banlist)?

Jacob

I got back into the game recently, and have been playing for around 2 or 3 weeks now, so I'm looking for something semi-competitive to make for 50$ or less. I have a few basic staples, Dark Hole, Heavy, Reborn, etc. Please give a good variety, and for the love of god, please don't put Machina Gadgets, Chain Burn, or Dark Worlds. I hate them all.

What are your thoughts about my march 2012 ban list?

good gadget deck 2012 on DN Vid#5 [Yubel deck vs Darkworld deck] Part 1
good gadget deck 2012 image

Mr. Ryan

People say oh they won't touch Tourguide of the Underworld because in the not in the OCG and yet they say they will ban Sangan (which is a lot less potent without Tourguide present), am I missing something?

Basically, what I hope to achieve with this list, is currently lower tier decks given the chance to shine, as since I am not Konami I am not interested in money. I would want people have to come up with new decks and actually have to think when they play rather than "I do this, this and this, and you lose". True there is a lot of diversity in the game already, though I feel that there are a lot of overshadowed and unappreciated archetypes. I want it to be more like "chess" than "rock, paper and scissors".

Changes I would make to the banlist. What do you think?:

Banned:
Dandylion
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Foolish Burial
Black Luster Solider, Envoy of the Beginning
Mind Control

Limited:
Wind-Up Hunter
Inzektor Dragonfly
Royal Oppression
Master Hyperion
Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
Ultimate Offering (Gadget decks are very powerful at the moment)
Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World
Royal Oppression (not sure about this one, could stay banned)
Rescue Rabbit (I believe it's not in the OCG but I listed it anyway)
Six Samurai United (Six Samurai are still quite powerful in my opinion)
Judgement Dragon (or Semi-Limited)

Semi-Limited:
Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity (Or perhaps have this change places with Wind-Up Hunter on the list?)
Sinister Serpent (not sure about this one but it seems quite slow) I'll include the effect since I doubt many have heard of it because it's so old: During your Standby Phase, if a "Sinister Serpent" exists in your Graveyard, you can return the "Sinister Serpent" to your hand.
Chaos Sorcerer
Treeborn Frog
Agent of Mystery -- Earth
The Gates of Dark World

Unlimited:
Destiny Draw
Magical Stone Excavation (requires 2 discard cost and not many people use it, or none that I see)
Primal Seed (too specific)
Being someone who has used a Dark World deck long before (at least a year before) the structure deck was even announced, I have to say they were playable before it. Sure, they weren't a top deck, but because they weren't that good they were often overshadowed and most people didn't focus on their merits, instead seeing just another mediocre archetype with had lots of potential in my eyes. And that they've released the new cards people think they are crap without them. Being someone who has used Dark World for many years I have to disagree.

It's the same for Six Samurai in my opinion, a deck which I have owned for longer than Dark World though no longer use. They were alright until Konami brought out Storm of Ragnarok.

Also, 4 years isn't really that much Yu-Gi-Oh experience as Snychros first came out in 2008, so you wouldn't have had experience of the gmae before Snychros. Aside Dark World however, I have to agree with all your other points, LILY YOU QIN.

Answer
There's no point to hitting dark worlds that heavily, seeing as how they aren't doing much damage in either the TCG and OCG, especially not that hard. limiting grapha will take dark worlds out of the Meta, semi-limiting gates will drag(lol) the archetype down to being unplayable.

Hyperion, if hit, will most likely be limited to 1, due to the fact that 3 can get stuck a lot, many people opt to run 2. Likewise with JD, most LS decks are chaos, running 3 JD will clog the hand, plus you have other boss monsters(gorz, DAD, BLS, Chaos sorc). Because TGU doesn't exist in the OCG, sangan and rabbit won't be touched, due to rabbit's dependence on TGU.

They most likely won't hit inzektors and wind-ups too heavily, if at all, due to their novelty. At most they'll probably ban hunter to prevent the loop. Without hunter, there will be no loop, and the deck will still be playable.

Answer

Answer
You're deck looks pretty awesome! I would take out Solemn Judgment only because it's such a pricey card life point wise. I would probably remove it for an Ultimate Offering just because you're running gadgets. I know people say to put in Machina Force, but that's totally unnecessary because I see that you've replaced it with Cannon. I wouldn't go with the Solidarity build just because it's pretty easy to get over with 3 MST's and Heavy. Also because of Ally of Justice Catastor it ruins the deck. Grand Mole is an awesome choice as well as Gorz. I like Gorz over Tragoedia, because it gives you that extra token. Grand mole is awesome, because it gets over syncros and even Catastor if you run into it. I like Creature swap a lot it's an awesome way of getting over big monsters. Effect Veiler is essential in this format because of Wind Ups and Inzektors. Over all I love your build and think it's VERY solid.

Answer
I plan to stay inside so I don't get hit by the comet or meteor shower and probably will get out a deck of cards to play Solitaire because all the electronic gadgets won't work when the Earth's polarity reverses. But most importantly, I'll order a Brooklyn Style Pizza from Domino's, provided the electric grid still works and heats up their ovens.

I don't know much about machinas, but that's just the basics. Most machina decks I've faced run 2 fortresses. Dust tornado slows down the deck. You already run 3 MST, so the tornados are not necessary. Consider heavy storm.
