Are there any new - not too expensive - electronic gadgets out? I don't know what I want to get for Birthday for my teen brother,I was thinking along the lines of webcam, new phone, pay half for laptop etc.
Are there any cool gadgets out there that you like to give to your younger brother?
Please answer me quickly as I want to buy it in today?
Answer
I would suggest an MP3 Player, a nintendo DS, gift cards. You can even get a notebook for less than a laptop and they are small and cute. Check out think geek, they have a bunch of quirky stuff. Hopefully, this helps. Look for electronic gadgets sections, you will lots of other interesting stuff too.
If your budget is not too small, i would finally recommend you a notebook, that will not only a cool gadget but can also help your brother in studies.

Answer
Something using neodymium magnets, or rare earth magnets. They're really powerful and you'd sound smart if you could come up with a way to use them in a gadget. They're also used in MRI machines. That's what they don't allow metal objects in the MRI room.
Okay, so you could have a tiny little magnet the size of a grain of rice, and it would pick up nearly a half pound of metal. It could be in the end of a shoe string for safe keeping. They can also erase credit cards, so if the "agent" had one in a cuff link he could mess with someone's purchasing power. Round ones that look like steel balls are cheap and easily obtained too. Plenty of cool things you could do with that.
So what else?... Thumb tack spy camera. Almost as good as a fly on the wall!
Opaque contacts to make the wearer look blind. He could then wear dark glasses as a disguise. It would be fool proof because if someone was suspicious, they'd see he really was blind when they looked behind the glasses.
