My grandmother absolutely needs to retire her computer. It's about 15 years old and is crap. My family and I are wanting to get something that meets her needs but aren't sure which to go with, a computer or tablet. Also, my grandmother is not the brightest when it comes to technology.
The tablet is smaller, lighter and more portable, but she doesn't need all the apps and video and all those gadgets. I also know that many tablets do not support flash therefore many sites she may want to get on will not be accessible because she won't have flash.
The laptop can be customized to her needs (which for the most part is the bare minimum), but is a little heavier and I'm sure she won't want to carry around a big bag wherever she goes since she isn't very strong anymore.
So, should I go with tablet or laptop, and any recommendations to which kind would be great.

If you want a laptop because you want it to have flash and the portibility of a tablet, than you should buy a TABLET COMPUTER. Windows 8 has just come out and it has been made to be used as a tablet.
You should buy the one from Sony. It can transform in a tablet or computer. It also has a keyboard in case she wants to type. It also has a touchscreen. If you want to buy another brand that is fine, but make sure that it has touchscreen.

Is it true that a woman is only allowed one baby shower per lifetime?

Well my cousin just had her third baby shower. Everyone I know has baby showers for each pregnacy. Recently I was told by an in-law that a woman is only posed to have one. I have never haerd of this rule.

it's an old fashioned rule that you only get a shower for your first baby. after that your should keep everything for subsequent babies and then not need anything. i think this is an outdated practice and believe every new baby deserves a shower. and anyway, things change so quick now that by the time a new baby comes along. all the safety issues and gadgets are new and we want them too.
