Is it possible to add a gadget to my iGoogle homepage that utilizes Google Desktop Search to search my desktop?

Answer
Hi,

I guess its not possible. Desktop search is an application for the windows and it has nothing to do with the iGoogle online portal.

How to get around parental locks on the internet?

Merci Pour

I've tried adding gadgets on igoogle to see websites that way, but to no avail. I've also tried clicking "cached version" on websites, but it doesnt work on a lot of websites, especially sites with videos from youtube.

I don't have the password and don't think it'll be easy to figure it out. Don't suggest talking to my parents about it, I already know that's not going to work.

Are there any ways off the top of your head that would work to get past parental blocks?
By the way, I'm 17. Just so you know I'm not some 12 year old trying to see things I'm not supposed to.

Answer
For parental locks first check whether they're using the browser itself. If you have Internet Explorer, simply look at the bottom of your browser on the right, there should be a label called Internet with a globe symbol next to it. Double-click the globe, go to Restricted Sites, and delete it. Parents may notice, so try changing the blocked link to a .org or .net if it is a .com.

First Step:
Type in "keylogger" on www.Download.com.
Pick the best rated, free key logger.
Download it, then install the program.
Enable the program, and then attempt to go to a website that is acceptable, yet still blocked. Ask your parents for an override, where they type in a password and the site comes up.
After they give you the over-ride, wait until they are gone. Then, open up the key logger.
Find the file that says something like "text log". From there, find the password used to unblock that particular website.
Use this password to bypass the parental control software, giving yourself overrides whenever you want.
Second Step:
Use Google Cached page copies.
This is the best and most clever way to get around those stupid Parental Controls. Whatever link you found on Google that is blocked, look for the link called "Cached" below it. Parental controls programs will fail to block this, and you don't get the ads and top banner from a proxy. the only difference from the real page is that its usually a day older, but if its not something updated constantly, it doesn't matter.
