Father's Day Gift?

What would be a good gift for a dad who is a doctor and uses the computer? Any suggestion is good; it doesn't have to be related to being a doctor or the computer.

Answer
Gadgets from stores like The Sharper Image are always fun for dads.
You could also try getting him something that is related to a team he likes. My husband is an Angel's fan, so I got him a polo and Angel's watch. Things like that, if he is into sports, it seems sports dads can never have too many team shirts/hats/accessories.
I can't think of anything to get him because he's a doctor... maybe something for his desk at work? I don't know how old you are, or your price range though... A framed family portrait is always a sure fire hit, no matter your age. You could go through family albums and find a nice picture of your dad with you or you any siblings when you guys were little, get it blown up to 5x7, maybe even in black in white and frame it, I'm sure he would love that.
Another idea, if he has early mornings and drinks coffee is get him a cup from starbucks, where the insert comes out and you can design it however you want. You can draw a picture, put in a picture, make a collage, etc. Then put it back together give him the mug, and maybe some coffee beans to go with it.
Hope these ideas help and apply to your dad. I'm sure you'll think of something!

What do I get my dad for Christmas?

Mercedes C

My dad is by far the most difficult person to get a present for.
He has everything he's ever wanted, every tool, every gadget, EVERYTHING.

Making a gift just seems a bit childish for a 16 year old..
He doesn't wear anything like ties, so.. Do any of you have a suggestion?

Please! Thank you!

Answer
Hmm. I too am a dad with teenagers. I also have lots of gadgets and tools. I could always use more heavy duty socks. Like, thick warm ones, but ones you can still wear with loafers and relaxed shoes. I also really like work shirts you can with the fleece lining. I like them a little big because I wear them kind of as a jacket on the weekends.

Maybe your dad would like something like that. Oh, another thing that would be cool: one of those homemade calendars that people do on the computer. You know, the ones that have a pic of a family member or something for everytmonth. Those are neat.

Any Christmas gift under $1000....?

James K

What would you choose?
Oh Jamie...I do love those Keurig coffee makers....makes many yummy drinks

What can I get my family for Christmas - little brother and dad especially?

Smart101

I was thinking of going homemade this year. I personally think these are the best gifts( next to electronices - lol), and have a sentimental value. For my mom I was thinking of a beautiful hand-made clay pot I made in art class, and a homemade beauty with bath scrubs, home remedies, molded soap and cute things like that. What I'm really stumped on is gifts for my little brother and dad. Last year, I got my lil bro a spy kit, and my dad - a cool wood project. This year, I'm not really sure what to get them. I was thinking of doing a little scavenger hunt made out of origami(he's a huge fan next to me) gift boxes with coupons, trinkets, and clues leading to the actual gift for my lil bro( 7) . The problem is, I don't know what to do for the actual gift. As for my dad, I am totally stumped. What are some good inexpensive gift ideas? Thx and 10 points for best answer!

What should i get my dad for his birthday?

Stacy

my dad loves gagets and to travel and stuff like that. please let me know what i should get him.

Answer
Gadgets
I would just get him a gift card to a store that sells those. It would be hard to tell what he likes or would use. Or maybe you could look around in his room to see what type he has there. If he has a lot of camera things you could get him something to do with that. Or if he has more phones than you could do that.

For Travel
You could get him books about his favorite places to go
Or order him something from another country
Pay for him to go to a museum that focuses on another country

If I where you I would do that and something else
Like bake him a cake or cookies
Or knit him a scarf
Maybe get him something for his desk
Or get a photo frame and put a photo of you in there
Get him a plant for his desk or office
