Most of the previous answers are misleading, since you asked about a store that sells ONLY kitchen items. As their names imply, both Linens and Things and Bed, Bath and Beyond sell sell bathroom and bedroom items as well as kitchen things.
Williams-Sonoma is closer to what you are looking for, but every time I am in there I see more food items (fancy jams and jellies, chocolate, crackers of different types, and so forth). All of those things take away from the space for kitchen equipment. Still, if you want to check them out, hre are their locations in the DC area:
