Well I think it's the same book. I know there's this book that starts off like these kids were outside and a bomb went off I think and they were running back to their house but one of them didn't get there in time and died. Further on in the book the kid discovers that this other kid who he had thought to be his friend was actually a spy after he finds out his family is raising German Shepards and he ends up getting chased and climbs down this mountainous area and gets shot at by the kids father and a helicopter comes and kills the father and the boy. Any help is appreciated.
Oh by the way the cover of it has a kid wearing sunglasses with an explosion in the reflection.
Any idea what the name is?

ALEX RIDER / JASON STEED Joint Mission?

I read on a blog on Goodreads that Alex Rider author; Anthony Horowitz has just been given the OBE for his Alex Rider novels, it also said that a one-off story is being written combing Alex Rider character with Rival Teen Character Jason Steed, both 14 yr old Alex and 12 yr old Jason Steed are going on a joint mission and acting as brothers. This would be great news if true, although am not sure what author would write it unless they did it together.
I wonder if other authors could do the same, Now Sylvester Stallone is making movies with Arnold etc, maybe we could have Edward Cullen from Twilight get together with Teen Wolf to stop the bad guys or even James Bond and Rambo go on an adventure lol. Sorry got carried away, anyway is there any truth in the ALEX RIDER & JASON STEED merger?

I am a HUGE Alex Rider and Jason Steed fan, I just read Russian Roulette Alex Rider and Jason Steed Absolutely Nothing.
It would be awesome, they both have blond hair and they both are British, Alex Rider is good with gadgets and can do some Karate, Jason Steed os deadly with Karate both would be good as long as Jason Steed does not loose his temper then all hell happens.
I have not read that it is going to happen, I did some google searches and found some fan fiction where Alex Rider and Jason Steed go on a joint mission and get captured by Yassin, but that was a over the top and made them both gay (As in yes it made them do stuff) I dont think Alex Rider and Jason Steed are like that, ALex lieks Sabrina and Jason likes all girls lol.
