A gift card to Comp USA or Best Buy. If he has a Palm Pilot or something similar, get him a new case for it. If he has a cell phone that doesn't seem to have a case, try that...or a handsfree device. If it were me & I was stumped, I'd pop over to CompUSA & tell a salesperson his stats & let them show you a few things...they're VERY good about that sort of thing.

Q. What are some good gift ideas for a college student? My parents are asking me what I want for about $100 or less. I've got a laptop, cell phone, flash drive, digital camera, TI-83 calculator, good small pinter/scanner/copier, and mp3 player, so anything like those is not what I'm looking for. I'm kind of a nerd, so I really like random gadgets. What's something I could use at college?

Do you have an external hard drive to back up all your stuff? I've recently discovered that I sleep a little better if I have one, even though I haven't had a computer die in 3-4 years. . . or maybe *because* I haven't had a computer die in 3-4 years. :)
Just a thought. I'm also a nerd who likes random gadgets, and got myself a new one for Christmas already.
