50-60 years ago, when I was a lad, there was a clamshell bread slicing guide made of sheet metal, I think. You would put a thick slice of bread in, close it, and then cut through to the hinge. Does anyone know if this kitchen gadget still exists?
Thank you. Bless you.
Answer
Here are two links to a couple of slicing guides for home use. I have the first one and because I bake all my own bread, itâs a very valuable aid in my kitchen. There are more expensive and fancier ones available, Iâm sure, but I didnât want to invest a fortune in one and Iâm very happy with the one I got. Iâve had it for about 2-3 years.

You can find other styles/prices if you Google "bread slicing guides".
Hope you find what you want.
