How to create an electronic gadget?

Sena

Creating a computer program is easy. Everything are all ready, the hardwares, operating system and much more.
But what i mean, can't i create an electronic gadget on my own? Because i believe it's way-way harder and not many people can do it, except a special electronic hobbyist.

For example, i want to create something for my school. For example, it's an electronic thing that could be written all homeworks, tasks and also alarm so it would make the user easier on school thing.

According to that example, it means that it's very useful. The problem is, i don't how. Are there any tutorials that you can give me to start learning about making electronic things for example starting from a button that could make the light on until a simple calculator or something?

Thank you.

(Note: I don't want something that tells me to learn by finding another source, because i have tried and i didn't found any in Google. If you found one, please tell me.)

Answer
Basic electronic circuitry isn't really that difficult of a thing to understand. The problem is, to do what you're proposing and make it in a portable size, you'll probably have to do more than just look the subject up online. companies have been going smaller and I'm sure they wont just give you their secrets. Maybe buy a PDA? Or if you are really interested in building your own, contemplate buying an old pda and take it apart to learn from that.

what were the electronic gadgets from 1947 to 1977 in India?

Answer
Define "electronic"! "Electronic Gadgets" were not around until the early 70's. Before this there were "electrical" devices. All were anything but portable. They were the transistor radio - that's it. Some other early devices were the TV, radio (valve), vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, Geiger counter, and a few others. By 77 there were some calculators but these were few and very simple.
You should have a good idea of those available today.
