Alright, I'm getting into presenting the food I create in a more creative eye pleasing way. As opposed to just mouth pleasing. Again I'm very new to all this stuff when it comes to special cool tools tips, and tricks one can use from those experience food decorator's, bakers etc. Much respect!
Pastry Bags : If I was going to create my own pastry bags with a zip lock freezer bag, would those TIPS you see fit that?
Or do they need a special bag and attachment? If so, what would I need?
Now TIPS, I wanted to know, I guess which would be best for not the normal things one would use them for? Meaning, I make this really gooey nacho type cheese, the kind that drips, like movie nachos, and I want to create cool designs, when putting it on crackers, crusts etc, instead of just gobbing it on, would I need a specific type of tip? Which tips would work or wouldn't? The same for things like smooth creamy guacamole, creamy smooth pesto, homemade pizza sauce, smooth marinara sauce? I know they wont hold the shape of the stars that I see so often when it comes to tips, which is fine, I just don't want to glob it on. Creativity.
Also, is there any tip, that is maximum width that you could use if you wanted to create cool bread sticks, or flat breads, crackers, or cookies? If the dough is the right texture, besides those cookie presses, for cookie, what about bread doughs, cracker mixes?
For example I was watching a woman on youtube who was showing the viewer different tips and the shapes they create, and if you lined up each shape, it made whatever shape be connected and I thought, wow you could make really cool looking crackers, or cookies, or bread sticks beyond the normal --- even if the tip is I guess a tube. Just connect them, or create whatever design. So I hope I'm not confusing anyone. smile.
Trying to use tips not just for the normal cake decorating, or cookie icing...
Any other cool gadgets, tips, tricks, anything I would really appreciate it from those experienced food artist Picasso's in the kitchen.
