How do I keep my Google homepage gadgets?

I have Google as my homepage with helpful tools (weather channel, cnn.com...) After I shut down computer for night, the next day all the stuff is gone & I have to redo it all over again. What's wrong?

Google forced an update on everyone. That's just evil behavior, similar to spyware behavior.

Google has some free software programs you can download. They aren't for websites I don't think. But you could ask google.
