What kind of applications/software could I use to display news, weather, and other things on an external LCD?

I'd like to setup an external LCD screen that's hooked up to my iMac for displaying news, weather, stocks and other things. Just a simple app, with a clean front-end; preferably one that will pull RSS feeds from sites that I determine. Anyone know of any apps like this?

Well as we all know tech blogs need to be updated on the daily or hourly basis.i want to know how can i get latest information on my blog and visitors.As it is tech blog it needs IT-related technology, news updates and reviews about these products, gossip about the new gadgets and events come and go in this fast-growing world of ours.
