With all this nanotechnology stuff, and multitouch screen stuff coming and controlless video game consoles etc. It makes you wonder how technology will change the world in the next 50 years. And apparently nanotechnology will let you have videos or animated pictures on your clothes. It just incredible how far we've come in the last 50 years. So what do you think the world will be like in the next 50 years?
Realistic and mature answers only please :)
Answer
actually, you may not know this, but all of the "new" technology that is out now is actually old. All these liquid screen displays, touch-screens and other gadgets have been around for a litttle while. The military is at least 10 years ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to technology. So even now, the military has access to incredible pieces of technology that we will not see for another 10 years, and when we see it, we will think that it is new. It is nearly impossible to even try to imagine what the world will be like in 50 years. will there even be a world? Mankind has advanced more technologically in the past few decades, then it has in its first few thousand years, and we will only get more advanced. I can't even begin to think of what the world will be like. Will we cure cancer?, be able to hover?, break the speed of light? No one knows, and only time will tell.

Why is Japan so much more technologically advanced than the rest of the world?

Connor
i mean, its so densly populated yet their the most technologically advanced than the rest of the world. the technology is there yet japan is the only country taking full use of it. why?
Answer
I disagree. Japanese companies have been successful in manufacturing and selling electronics, but that doesn't make them more technologically advanced than the rest of the world. In fact, most of the tech products they manufacture were invented somewhere else -- the U.S, most often.
The people as a whole do have a love of gadgets, but that's not the same thing as being technologically advanced. Real technology -- in transportation, medicine, manufacturing, etc. is no more common in Japan than in North America or Europe.
The rest of it is just toys.
