I want to get my bestest bestest friend a christmas gift, but I'm only 12, and can't just go out and buy a gift for my friend, I have never once even bought a christmas gift for my family, so I'm wondering if you can give me some ideas or other things to do for my friend, or how to convince my parents to buy me something to give to my friend as a gift? I really want to, but I dont have my own money.

You may create his portrait as a photomosaic which will contain images with his favor. Year ago I create one poster for my friend with screenshots of the game "Halo" created using photomosaic software from Artensoft. Look at the examples of photomosaics and collages below.
Also you may get him some gadgets (GPS tracker for example or watch with pulsometer) or watch with sleep-tracker or powerball for hand (Gyroscopic exercise tool).
