I have mouse repellent device using infrasonic sound in my house. My sister and I planning to keep a dog as a pet. Could the sound affect or annoyed the dog?

I had one of those gadgets you have, and it scared one of my dogs so badly, she wouldn't come in from the backyard for a week without a lot of coaxing. I threw it out.
By the way, I also had seen mice walking around while it was there.
I don't understand how they can advertise that it doesn't bother dogs - it does.

How to make a circuit with which I can pick up faint sounds louder like a hearing aid?

Actually I want an ideal circuit diagram, easy to construct with an electret/condenser mic and the power
supply is 3v ,1.5v,4.5v or 6v (3v is most preferred). With this circuit I should be able to hear conversations easily like a spy gadget.Thanks in advance.
